Dear County Seat Theater Family,
We just wanted to take a moment to update all our patrons and friends with what is happening at the County Seat Theater due to COVID-19. At this time our doors are still closed, however things are still happening behind the scenes! We have secured a few grants and a number of individuals have contributed to our Covid-19 Relief Fund. Every little bit helps. With that being said, with show cancellations and smaller audiences when we reopen we are expecting to be below projected income for the year. If you are able to contribute to our fund we would be forever grateful!
At this time we have had to cancel all our summer youth programs, meanwhile our productions of “Finishing School” and “Nunsense” have been moved to our 2021 season. If you are a current season pass holder your passes will cover any shows that are held over to the following year. If you have a gift certificate they will also be honored past the use by date.
When the state allows us to open with a capacity of 50%, the County Seat Theater is looking forward to raising the curtain and putting on award winning theater for you once again. At this time we are hoping to present our production of “The Boys Next Door” August 14-16 & 20-23. If we are unable to do so it will be moved to Sept. 25-27 & Oct. 1-4. Tickets will go on sale to the public once we are allowed the 50%, so be watching our website, Facebook and emails for updates.
Once the County Seat Theater does open to the public, special precautions will be set in place to insure the safety of our patrons, actors and volunteers:
Coming Soon… The Seat of Your Pants Parking Lot Players present “The Carol Burnett Radio Show”!
This summer we will be offering a number of fun evenings with skits from The Carol Burnett Show in our back parking lot. These will be 45 minute shows and patrons will watch from their cars or bring lawn chairs and practice safe socially distancing. There is limited parking so you will need to call the theater to reserve your space. Our first presentation will be Thursday, June 25 at 7 pm (rain date June 30). Donations will be taken for admissions and special refreshments!
Again, The County Seat Theater is looking forward to raising the curtain and putting on award winning theater for you! Stay healthy and hope to see you soon!
